Muhlenberg isn’t a place where you find students just sitting around. We believe that college presents a great opportunity for personal and professional growth and development through action, and our students tend to agree.
Here, students learn about themselves and others through community service, student government, performance, athletics and more. Each individual discovers how to relate to their peers, many of whom come from vastly different backgrounds, interests, beliefs, attitudes and values.
Tolerance of difference isn’t only expected at Muhlenberg, it’s appreciated and celebrated. Our diverse religious environment and focus on multicultural learning allow students to enjoy the company of those with similar interests as well as broaden their own perspective within the context of a warm, closely-connected community.
Students find over 100 student activities and organizations, with almost countless areas of interest covered. Muhlenberg students foster a strong sense of community involvement; last year, they completed over 38,000 hours of service. Many of our students also enjoy and participate in Muhlenberg’s outstanding performing arts programs. Some are involved in Greek life through one of our four national sororities or our four national fraternities.
Muhlenberg sponsors a comprehensive 22-sport intercollegiate athletics program. The Mules compete in the Centennial Conference in all sports and are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III and Eastern College Athletic Conference. In addition to our conference sports, we also offer organized club sports in ice hockey and women’s rugby as well as a full slate of intramural activities.
Knowledge, development and growth don’t stop outside the classroom at Muhlenberg College. They begin the minute you step on campus.
