Career Decision Making

Decision Making Process     **     Decision Making Worksheet

The processes of self-assessment and career exploration that you have gone through to this point have helped you to gather information about yourself and about what's out there in the world of work. This information can now be used to make decisions about potential career options (or to figure out what else you need to know to make a decision!). To know whether a major or career may/may not be right for you, you need to know how you are evaluating it. In other words, what is it about your interests and skills that matches a biology major or a career in marketing? Have you talked to enough people in the field to determine whether investment banking is the right field for you? What would be the pros or cons of pursuing something in advertising?

The career decision making model and worksheet in this section will help you to think about how you can take control of the decisions you need to make and take it one step at a time to get there.
