Trap walks out the door of his parent's tiny 2 bedroom apartment. It's about 7:30 am, and the bus is to arrive any moment to wisk him off to another day of exhilarating high school education. To him, high school's a breeze. Top of his class, and enrolled in as many AP courses that one can take, it would seem that Trap would find high school boring. Now in his junior year, he has begun looking at different colleges, searching for the school that can give his mind the workout he has been searching for years. For a black person in a predominantly white suburban town, he's a spectacle. His teachers hold him in the highest regards, but his classmates look at him much differently.
