The Clash began their career opening for the infamous Sex Pistols. They were pioneers in making the Punk sound even more interesting. Their lyrics were edgy and confrontational, but their style is viewed as astounding. They incorporated more instruments and their interest in different sounds. They took quite an interest in the reggae sound, and they incorporated it into their music. Their technique is described as even superior to the Sex Pistols, but managed to still keep itself Punk through their heterogeneous lyrics and the ability to write what they feel and believe.
