Vision Through Art

Produced By
Matt Staples and Jamie Kohn

Vision Through Art is a documentary film that looks at the art class for the blind at the Allen's Lane Art Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The documentary begins with a general history/description of the art center and its program. Several students are interviewed. Jane Kohn, a woman who suddenly lost her sight 17 years ago, became an artist only after losing her vision. Her experience contrasts with other class members who have been artists for years before losing their sight. Bob Fluhr, the volunteer who teaches the class, is interviewed as is the Director of the Art Center, Andrew Lamas.
