Founded in 1994 by a group of Faculty from a variety of disciplines, the Faculty Center for Teaching at Muhlenberg College is designed to assist and support the Faculty as they explore their pedagogy and examine new teaching methods. Most basically, the center provides a forum in which teachers can discuss their classroom experiences - sharing successful outcomes, and offering new approaches to common challenges. The Center achieves this by offering a new faculty orientation geared toward teaching strategy, and by offering workshops, discussions, and lectures related to teaching throughout the academic year. The Faculty Center for Teaching is interested in assisting individual faculty members, departments, and inter-disciplinary teams to develop programming focused on teaching; and supports faculty with grants to support pedagogical revision.
The Center's resources (see the link below) are located in the Muhlenberg Room of Trexler Library and can be checked out by faculty in the same manner as other Library holdings.
