Akan (Ghana) Koranic Board Wood

This unique item is utilized by West African school children in order to learn the lessons of the holy book, the Koran. Used in the villages of West African countries such as Ghana, the Koranic board is a tablet for practicing handwriting and learning the teachings of the script from the Koran. The boards are used over and over again. They are cleaned off at the end of each day and prepared and dried for the next school session.
