In this study, the
macro-invertebrate life, hydrology, and vegetation will be surveyed in a
vernal pool, Les' Pool, located on the property owned by Les and Nancy Little. Les’
Pool is located in Bushkill Township
on the property adjacent to the Graver Arboretum of Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania.
Les’ Pool is a long-cycle vernal pool.

During the fall of
2005, Annie Davis, a student from Muhlenberg College, researched the
biodiversity of phytoplankton in two ponds at Graver Arboretum. A
