What?
Encounter and dialogue are the beginning of a new relationship.  Study and shared study can enrich and strengthen both the relationship and the individuals in it.  That's what the annual minicourse is about.  Four- to six-week series, one evening each week, focus on topics of shared interest to Jews and Christians.  Recent topics have included:

2009 - "The Big Bang, the Bible and Beyond "- Rabbi Dr. Jonathan Gerard and Rev. Dr. Walter Wagner

2008 - "Food & Hunger: Ritual and Ethics in a Hungry World"- Coordinated with the Lehigh County Conference of Churches Interaith In Action committee, on its EAT initiative "Weigh-In Against Hunger."

2006 - "Trauma, Tradition and Testimony: Forming Judaism and Christianity in Relations to One Another" - Dr. Ben Wright, Lehigh University

2005 - "Judaism and Christianity: Themes of the Holy Days and Festivals" - local rabbis, cantors and church musicians

2004 - "The Binding of the Beloved Son: Jewish, Christian and Muslim perspectives" - the Rev. Maria Tjeltveit, Episcopal Church of the Mediator, and presenters from local colleges and institutions
