1926 Rev. Dr. Paul W. O. Heist passed away April 23, 2003.
1929 Edgar T. Yehl died August 20, 2003, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Mabel, and two daughters, Beverly and Annette.
1930 Charles A. Beck died August 25, 2003, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa.
  Jack L. Daner passed away January 3, 2003.
1933 Dr. Donald C. Schlotter died January 23, 2003.
  Harold M. Weiser passed away May 5, 2003.
1934 Rev. Asa S. Wohlsen died June 18, 2003, at Luther Crest Health Center. He was 90 years old.
1936 Dr. Thomas H. Weaber, Jr., professor emeritus and former director of student health at Muhlenberg, died September 2, 2003, at Phoebe Home in Allentown. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eleanor, and one son.
1937 Dr. Edward A. Agnew died January 9, 2003, at the Highlands of Wyomissing.
William P. Griffin, Jr., died May 29, 2003.
1938 Mark B. Hoffman passed away September 25, 2003.
1939 Sherwood J. Evans died September 6, 2003, at Phoebe Slate Belt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Ellen, as well as two stepsons, John and Richard, and a stepdaughter, Connie.
1940 Milo Sewards passed away July 11, 2003, in his home. He is survived by his wife, Althea, and two sons.
1941 John O. Afflerbach died August 5, 2003, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. He is survived by his wife, Harriet, and three sons and a daughter.
1943 Lloyd M. Beidler, Jr., passed away August 7, 2003, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, and five sons and a daughter.
  Bertha A. Probert died September 23, 2003, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
  Walter W. Stolz died September 23, 2003, at Central Montgomery Medical Center.
1944 Rev. Glenn H. Wampole passed away August 14, 2003, in Flagstaff, Ariz. He is survived by three sons, Randall, Judson and Glenn, and a stepdaughter, Cheryl.
1945 Rev. William L. Shaud died September 22, 2003, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn, as well as two sons, William and Stephen, and daughter, Susan.
1948 Edwin M. Friese passed away August 25, 2003, in Allentown. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lucille, as well as a son, Richard, and two daughters, Barbara Jo and Nancy-Lu.
  William H. McFetridge, Jr., passed away August 26, 2003, in Austin, Texas. He is survived by his daughter, Elyse McCoy.

  Rev. Orville E. Miller passed away September 9, 2003, at Grand View Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce, as well as sons Rodney and Harry and daughters Dawn and Dana.
  Frederick E. Moser died July 19, 2003, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, and three sons.
  Edwin H. Roth, Jr., died May 3, 2003, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beatrice.
  Oscar B. Snyder, Jr., died June 23, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Mary.

1962 Judith A. Winzer died May 21, 2003, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She is survived by Donald, her husband of 38 years, and two daughters and a son.
1964 Rhea A. Nagle died June 19, 2003, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa. She is survived by her sister, Susan C. Reiss.

1969 Joseph T. Heber died July 14, 2003, in his home. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and a son and daughter.

  John V. Phillips died March 3, 2003, at home. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Canfield) ’74, and a son and two daughters.
1974 Dr. Wayne R. Draesel passed away May 18, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and a son and a daughter.
1983 Kimberly Morgan-Ebling passed away June 1, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Byard T. Ebling ’82, and three children.
  Dr. Rodney B. Rosenberg passed away June 27, 2003.
1993 Jack W. Paules died July 3, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Patty.
2003 Gabriel S. Kane died May 31, 2003, in New York, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

 

 

Helene Hospodar, professor of physical education, emerita, passed away September 18, 2003, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown. She is survived by her son, David, and daughter, Nan.

Milton W. “Scotty” Wood died June 18, 2003, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He is survived by his wife of two years, Evelyn S. (Shimer) Rabenold-Wood, as well as three sons, Robert, Scott and Michael; two daughters, Judith Scheftel and Patricia Beldon; and five grandchildren. Wood, who received an honorary degree in 1997, lent his name to Muhlenberg’s Scotty Wood Stadium and Scotty Wood Tournament.
