Alumni Relations office welcomes new assistant director
Lauren Mohn was named assistant director of alumni relations as of December 1, 2001. She comes to Muhlenberg from Signature Marketing Group of Langhorne, Pa., where she was a corporate event planner. At Signature, Mohn managed all aspects of pre-, on-site and post-event planning for corporate events.
Mohn received her bachelor of arts degree in public relations and advertising with honors and highest distinction from Penn State University in 2000. Her published senior honors thesis is titled "Planning and Executing Special Events to Improve Public Relations for Philanthropic Organizations."
As an undergraduate, Mohn assisted in the management of the nation's largest student-run philanthropy, a 48-hour dance marathon at Penn State, which raised more than $3 million for pediatric cancer.
"Lauren's energy, creative synergy and tremendous understanding of constituency relations will be an asset to her work and to the College," says Jennifer Tran, assistant vice president for development and director of alumni relations.
"I am excited and honored to work for Muhlenberg and I hope that my efforts will make a lasting impact on the Muhlenberg community," says Mohn.
Mohn resides in Quakertown, Pa., with her husband, Matthew.
