Ann Gardner Barbieri and her husband, Dave, are proud to announce the adoption of Caroline Mei. She was born in Guangdong Province, China, in October 2002 and adopted September 17, 2003. She joins big sister Alexis, adopted from China in 2000.

Doug Block and his wife, Joanne, welcomed their first child, Madeline, into the world on September 12, 2003. The Blocks reside in Canton, Mich., outside of Ann Arbor. Solomon Krevsky and his wife, Katy, are proud to announce the arrival of their son, Maxwell Anton, on March 16, 2003. Max is the younger brother to Abby Rose Krevsky, who is 2 1/2 years old and loving her new role as big sis. Solomon recently opened his new law firm in Harrisburg, The Law Offices of Solomon Z. Krevsky, handling all aspects of employment law and litigation.

Andrea Dowhower and her husband, Phil Vollmer, announce the birth of their second child, Claire Elise Vollmer, on October 20. At press time, the family was planning a move to State College, Pa., where Andrea will assume responsibilities as director of student affairs research and assessment. Mike Walsh and his wife, Kim, are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Matthew Patrick Walsh, born July 12, 2003.

Richard and Diana (Weinapple) Hegmann welcomed their first child, Hunter Adam, August 6, 2003. The family lives in Catonsville, Md.; Diana is a business education teacher in Timonium, Md., and Richard teaches social studies in Baltimore. Mike and Lynn (Garofalo) Nardino announce the birth of their second child, Jonathan Michael. Jonathan was born July 6, 2003 and joins big sister Sydni, 3. Mike continues to run his wholesale grocery operation, while Lynn has taken some time off from teaching to enjoy their children.

Lynn (Tuite) Cotton and her husband, Tom, are pleased to announce the arrival of their second child, Claire Elizabeth, born May 31, 2003. Big brother Aidan, age 2, loves his new sister. The family resides in Erdenheim, Pa. Andrew and Hilary (Forman) Schaffer are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Lauren, November 22, 2003. “Emma was 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 20.5 inches,” says Hilary. “Mom and baby are doing great!” Stewart Polsky and his wife, Maria, welcomed the birth of their daughter, Gabriella Ilena, on September 5, 2003. Stewart is working as a urologist in a two-person private practice outside of Charlotte, N.C.

Meredith (Miles) Flanagan and her husband Peter, welcomed the birth of their second daughter, Abigail Shea, on August 14, 2003. She joins big sister Molly, age 3. Meredith is a senior account manager with Aetna in Tampa, Fla., where the family has resided for the past five years. Abigail’s godmother is Meredith’s sister-in-law, Tina (Tangen) Miles ’95. Carolyn and Neal Katz proudly announce the birth of their second son, Ian Matthew, born October 30, 2003. Ian joins big brother Aaron, age 4. The family lives in Bridgewater, N.J. Pamela (Loftus) Marthins and her husband, Todd, are happy to announce the birth of Kathryn “Katie” Jane, May 18, 2003. Katie joins big sister Abigail, age 2. The family lives in Haddonfield, N.J. Melissa (Epstein) and Larry Miller ’92 joyfully announce the birth of their second son, Zachary, born May 13, 2003. Zachary joins big brother Sam, who is 4 years old. The family lives in Doylestown, Pa., where Melissa stays home with the boys. Larry has a family medicine office in Lansdale, Pa. Charlene (Afflitto) Thomas and her husband, Rob, are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, Briana Rae, September 27, 2003. Briana weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 inches long.

Elizabeth Niciu and Robert King are excited to share the news of the birth of their beautiful daughter, Jessica Elizabeth King, on October 5, 2003. The family resides in Athens, Ga. Elizabeth continues to practice small animal veterinary medicine in Loganville, Ga.
