
Phil and Angela (Vasoli) DeMara ’00 | ’00 | Josh and Lyndsy
(Wright) Blais were married on June 26, 2004 on Long Beach Island, N.J. Alumni
in attendance were: Doreen Ballone ’99,
Molly Callaghan ’99, Lisa Commander ’99, Scott Lippman ’98,
Stacy Mullen and Meredith Tojeira. The couple honeymooned in Maui and
bought their first home in South Burlington, Vt., in August. Kathryn
Crockett left her position as marketing director for one of
the nation’s
leading independent bookstores to pursue a freelance career as a copywriter
and graphic designer for local businesses and nonprofit agencies. After
a trip to New Zealand earlier this year, she has settled on Connecticut’s
shoreline…until the next big adventure. On
October 23, 2004, Phil and Angela (Vasoli) DeMara were married in Mary
Mother of the Redeemer Church in North Wales, Pa. Bridesmaids included
Jaime (Corrado) Kopp and Michelle Zackon ’01. Phil and Angela
both work for Daimler Chrysler and reside in Maryland.
Chris
DeWitt writes, “I have recently left Barnes and Noble,
where I spent three years as a customer service manager, to pursue
a new opportunity with Vertex Inc. My new job primarily is to provide
PC support for tax professionals. I am also active in local community
theater and am currently playing Guildenstern in “Rosecrantz
and Guildenstern Are Dead” for the King of Prussia Players. But
most importantly, I have recently proposed to my partner of four years,
George Wilson. No date has been set as we are still researching the
legality of logistical issues of a same-sex marriage.” Valerie
Lilien recently became engaged to Sean Cuffe, a graduate of Rutgers
University. Sean is a high-school English teacher at Colonia High School
in Woodbridge, N.J. They are currently settling into the home they
just purchased in Somerset, N.J. and are working on a wedding date.
Erica
Pristash is pleased to announce her engagement to Chad Saleska of Atlanta,
Ga. Erica is a survey research analyst at RTI International, a non-profit
research organization based in Research Triangle Park, N.C. Chad is
the sports editor for The Daily Dispatch in Henderson, N.C. They are
planning a spring 2006 wedding. Megan
Reaser was hired in June as a public defender in Monroe County, Pa.
and is currently focusing on criminal litigation. She recently won
her first jury trial.
Sharon
Saferstein writes, “I recently got engaged to my boyfriend,
Jose. A September 2005 wedding in Bensalem, Pa. is planned. I hope
everyone is doing well and you are all happy!”

| ’01 | Jenna Bates graduated
from Rutgers University School of Law - Camden in May, sat for the
Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars in July and began working as an associate
at a small firm in Cherry Hill, N.J., in September. She lives in Philadelphia. Clara
Ebersole and Kevin Coleman ’00 became engaged on September 6, 2003 and are planning a wedding for
September 2005. Clara is applying to graduate schools for a masters’ degree
in education with a certification in elementary and special education.
Kevin is enjoying his work in real estate. Rachael
Lessig graduated from Arcadia University in May 2004 with a doctorate
of physical therapy. She passed the physical therapy licensure and
now is a Johns Hopkins Physical Therapy LEND fellow (Leadership and
Excellence in Neurodevelopmental Disorders), working at Kennedy Krieger
Pediatric Institute in Baltimore, Md. Gina
Lichner writes, “I am pleased
to announce that I was married to Steven Thompson, a 1999 Bloomsburg
alum, on September 5, 2004 at the Egner Memorial Chapel.” Bruce
Millheim and Ella Keifer were married on New Year’s Eve, 2003
in Bethlehem.
Sara
Reich and John Bumby ’02 were married on October 30, 2004
at 4:30 p.m., at the Beaches Boscobel, in Ocho Rios Jamaica. After
two years as gallery director of Lancaster Galleries, the oldest fine
art gallery in Lancaster, Pa., Tara Ritter decided to try her hand
at advertising. She is now employed as account executive at Howard
Miller Associates, Inc., a global advertising agency.
Tara loves her new job and is excited to meet and assist people all
over the world. Joy
Strauss and Dave Oborne were married on August 28, 2004, in Basking
Ridge, N.J. Many Phi
Sigma Sigma sorority sisters and other Muhlenberg alumni were in attendance.
Dave works
for Verizon as a connected solutions employee
and Joy works for Sunrise Assisted Living.
Kelly
Woodcock is an account manager for Kforce Staffing, a temp and temp-to-perm
staffing company in finance and accounting.
