The Muhlenberg College Institute of Entrepreneurship
The two objectives of the Institute of Entrepreneurship are to prepare Muhlenberg graduates in the concepts of innovation and self-reliance appropriate for a variety of life and career pursuits and to support entrepreneurs in the greater Muhlenberg community. Muhlenberg is one of the first liberal arts colleges in the nation to offer such an important program. The program emphasizes the importance of innovative and critical thinking, of careful planning, and of adaptation and flexibility that together represent the philosophy and technique of entrepreneurship. Through a combination of course instruction, hands-on internships, small business simulations, and independent research, the Institute strives to equip students with the well-founded confidence to assume the appropriate and calculated risks fundamental to meaningful life and career choices.

"Entrepreneurship is innovation: it starts with the development of an idea and the critical analysis necessary to evaluate that idea. From there the entrepreneur follows-- and reblazes -- the trail of business development. The skills of creative and critical innovation, and the self-confidence those skills entail, are fundamental tools of any life venture."
-Dr. Sandy Weinberg, Entrepreneur-in-Residence
