Heath Abramsohn '99 and Stefan Miller '99: G&C Laundry Service

This company offers students a full-service alternative to washing their clothes. Students can have their laundry cleaned once a week and they pre-pay for a full year of service and sign a contract. A student's laundry is then picked up in his or her dormitory every week and transported to a professional laundry service, where it is cleaned, dried, and folded. Upon completion, the laundry is then transported back to the college and returned to the student at the same location where he or she dropped it off. The two entrepreneurs have now expanded into dry cleaning. Heath and Stefan have sent flyers and informational brochures about the services to both students and their parents. They also started a word-of-mouth campaign throughout the campus. The two began selling the service at June advising in 1998. The service has proved to be successful at Muhlenberg so Heath and Stefan hope tp expand to Lehigh University starting the Fall semester of 1999.

When Heath and Stefan are not thinking about laundry and its profit potential, the two juniors are active members of the Muhlenberg Community. Heath played baseball his freshman year and is currently involved in the Entrepreneurial Club and the Investment Society. Stefan serves as a Student Council Representative, Music Chairperson of the Muhlenberg Activities Council, and co-coordinator of The Jefferson Elementary School Partnership. He is also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, the Muhlenberg Theatre Association, and the Emerging Leaders Program. Anyone interested in learning more about the laundry service should call Heath at (610) 740-4821 or contact him on-line .
