Background
Gail Eisenberg is currently the Internship Director for the Accounting, Business and Economics Department and a Lecturer in Business Administration. Gail received her BA from LaSalle University and her MBA from Lehigh University (both degrees with honors). Prior to teaching at Muhlenberg College, Gail worked for five years in industry in Marketing and in Applied Economics. Her current areas of teaching are in Marketing, Marketing Research and Marketing in Not-for-Profit Organizations. Gail is best known for the many marketing and marketing research projects her classes have done for the College and in the community. Most recently, the Marketing in Not-for-Profits class planned and executed a very successful Ten Thousand Villages Fair Trade Festival held at Muhlenberg College, and the Marketing Research class conducted focus groups and in-depth interviews with students, community residents, and business owners to assess the appeal of the Nineteenth Street area as a gathering spot for Muhlenberg students. In recognition of her service to the community and to Muhlenberg College Gail was the recipient of the Alumni Association of Muhlenberg College Tricorn Award and the Pearl and Julian Newhart Faculty Prize. Gail has published articles and presented at national conferences in the areas of service learning and experiential learning. She also developed a survey methodology for economic impact studies, and she is currently conducting a ten-year longitudinal study examining the timing and causes of the gender gap in salaries between men and women graduates of the Accounting, Business and Economics Department.
