| Currently, the Accounting Program Coordinator and an Associate Professor of Accounting at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, Paula received her BS from the Pennsylvania State University and her MBA from Lehigh University. Prior to beginning her teaching career, Paula worked for Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young, LLP), the Buckeye Pipeline Company, and Kleinert’s, Inc. As a professor, Paula has received
numerous awards for excellence in teaching and student
appreciation, including
Muhlenberg College's Lindback Teaching Award and the Institute
of Internal Auditors' Outstanding Accounting Educator Award. She has also written the Instructor’s Manual to accompany The Accountant’s Guide to Professional Communications, published by Harcourt Brace; a case on ethics in accounting; several articles related to mentoring and careers in the accounting profession; PowerPoint presentations for Intermediate Accounting; and ReadyNotes for Intermediate Accounting, published by McGraw-Hill/Irwin.
In 2004, Paula spent a semester abroad, teaching at the University of Maastricht, through the Center for
European Studies, and in 2006
she earned the Certified Fraud Examiner certification. She is
a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
She also serves on church council and as Treasurer for her church, and
recently developed and taught a Christian financial management
curriculum entitled, Balancing God and Money in Your Life.
