Background
Professor Arthur Raymond joined the Muhlenberg Faculty in 1991. He holds a B.S. from Bryant College and a M.A and Ph.D. in Economics from Tufts University. His current teaching interests are in the areas of International Trade, Econometrics, and Investments, as well as in the basic principles of economics courses. His dissertation modeled and estimated foreign exchange risk between nations with floating exchange rates, and he published a number of scholarly papers in the area. His current professional activity focuses on economic education and testing. He was recently appointed by the College Board as Chief Faculty Consultant to the Advanced Placement Program in Economics. In his role as Chief Faculty Consultant he advises on exam content and structure, and manages the scoring of the yearly Advanced Placement exam in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. He also provides consulting services to the local community and speaks at numerous workshops and national conferences on the testing and teaching of Economics. Dr. Raymond recently stepped down as Director of the Dana Program, a position he held since 1993. He currently serves as Head of the Accounting, Business and Economics Department.
