   Dr. Christine Ingersoll's research interests include analytical spectroscopy and chemical sensors. This work focuses on understanding the photophysics of biological recognition elements in solution and immobilized at interfaces, and constructing fiber-optic-based chemical biosensors. Another of Dr. Ingersoll's interests involves the development of simple, inexpensive analytical separation techniques for the quantitative determination of carbohydrates and pharmaceuticals.
