The faculty's concern for students and for their mastery of
an increasingly complex set of principles and skills is
reflected, at least in part, by the success of the
department's graduates. About one-third of the
College's chemistry majors go on immediately to graduate
school, another one-third to industrial or pharmaceutical
laboratories or secondary school teaching, and the remaining
third to professional school in medicine, dentistry, or
other health related fields.
