Andrew Woodward
Language Learning Center Technician

Muhlenberg College has been a "home away from home" for me for most of my life. As a Muhlenberg "legacy", I have served roles as the son of a Muhlenberg grad, a student, and now as a staff member at "the 'Berg". Following my first stint at Muhlenberg, I spent five years in Copenhagen, Denmark as an exhibiting artist focusing on photography, short film and sculpture, exhibiting throughout Scandinavia. While there I also learned to read, write and speak Danish fluently. After returning to the U.S., I began a large-scale mural business. My murals can be seen on permanent public display in small towns across the country. In addition to art, my interests now include multimedia, graphic design, web development and technology.

Josh Lauer
Presidential Assistant to the LLC

This is my first year back in college here at Muhlenberg after several years spent away from the educational system. This position has allowed me to develop valuable skills in web design while helping me afford the quality education Muhlenberg has to offer. As a computer science major, I find the work here to be highly relevant to my major and illuminating in general. I enjoy working with the students and faculty here and have found both to be very open and friendly.

Future Plans: I wish to complete my degree in Computer Science and work in the field, or perhaps continue on to graduate school.

Alexandra Goncharova
(Student Assistant)

My name is Alex. I graduated from Annie Wright School, Seattle, WA in 2003. I enjoy traveling and exploring other cultures, I am hoping to major in Business and a Foreign Language. Working in the Language Learning Center has been a great experience because I get a chance to speak and learn different languages and assist other people in doing the same. I have been studying French for several years and being able to speak the language with other students in the lab really added to the experience. It is my first semester at Muhlenberg and so far my experience has been wonderful. I am very thankful that Muhlenberg has the computer lab as a resource for the
study of Foreign Languages.

William Luerman (a.k.a. "B.J.") - '05
(Student Assistant)

I'm BJ Luerman and I am in the class of 2005. I am an Economics and Spanish double major. I enjoy working in the LLC because it allows me to be surrounded by the Spanish language and help out those who need it.

Nikolai Pandoursky - '04
(Student Assistant)

This is my fourth semester working here, and hopefully not the last! I enjoy the resourcefulness of the Language Learning Center and the spirit of the Foreign Language Department. The assistants in the LLC are also a big part of what makes this place worthwhile and I have fun working withthem. This is, quite possibly, the best work-study on campus.

Future Plans:  To take a course in each language offered here at Muhlenberg, and then take over the world.

Raffael Trofa - '06
(Student Assistant)

Working in the Language Learning Center is a complete privilege. It has given me the opportunity to meet new faces and assist my peers. My fellow co-workers are not just considered other staff members, but also friends. I am currently on the road towards my Computer Science degree and am looking forward to working in this field in the future. Working in the lab is a perfect fit for me, due to my love of languages and developing computer skills.

I graduated from Wilton High School, (Wilton, CT, 2002) and am very happy with the Muhlenberg experience and atmosphere.
