Music at Muhlenberg is a student-centered experience. Whether in studio instruction, active classroom learning, or ensemble performance, students will find the resources and encouragement they need to become thinking musicians and creative scholars.
The music faculty is devoted to teaching. We come from varied backgrounds, and we draw on our experiences to guide students towards their professional and personal goals as musicians. We work with students inside and outside the classroom and are proud of our accessibility. You will see us talking with students in the hallway and performing with students in some of our ensembles.
Consistent with the College's liberal arts philosophy, Muhlenberg's music program offers both breadth and depth. No matter what your chosen major, you can participate in our ensembles and take private lessons. And should you choose to major in music, we offer a comprehensive program of study. Our graduates have gone on to the Peabody Conservatory, the Eastman School of Music, and Juilliard.
We invite you to explore our site, and we look forward to talking with you about music at Muhlenberg.
