The Muhlenberg Washington Semester
The Muhlenberg Washington Semester isn't just for politics. Washington,
DC, the nation's capital, offers the student a world of opportunity in
every field of study. The Muhlenberg Washington Semester is a small
personalized program where the student lives, studies and interns while
earning a full semester of academic credit during the Fall or Spring
semesters or half a semester of credit in the summer.
Core courses taken
while in DC include: Ethical Issues and Public Affairs: The Washington Experience
Ethical Issues and Public Affairs: The Global Agenda
Examples of elective courses include but are not limited to: The Greening of America: Environmental Actions for the 21st Century
Political Communication, Violence and Values Washington Through Cinema Public Policy Issues
Currently Muhlenberg students have internships at The White House,
Department of Justice, Smithsonian Museum, CNN, Organization of American
States, National Right to Life Lobby. Past Muhlenberg students have had
internships at Department of Commerce, Arthur Anderson & Company, Federal
Trade Commission, Washington Project for the Arts, Museum of Women in the
Arts, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, sierra Club, Environmental
Protection Agency, and Organization of American States to name a few.
