Muhlenberg College/SUNY Optometry Program
3-4 MUHLENBERG/SUNY COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRY AFFILIATION AGREEMENT
An agreement between MC and SUNYCOO provides students wishing to enter SUNY College of Optometry at the end of their third year of study at Muhlenberg an opportunity to do so. To be considered, students must score at least 1200 on the combined SAT (or 29 on the ACT) and achieve at least a 93 high school grade average on a scale of 100. Students are typically in the upper 10% of their high school class. Students must maintain both an overall CUM and SCI GPA of 3.3 or greater at Muhlenberg. Students may have no grades below a "C". The Optometry Admission Test (OAT) is taken during the third year at Muhlenberg and students must attain a Total Science score of at least 330 with no individual score below 310.
Students interested in being considered for this program should so indicate on their application for admission to Muhlenberg via a letter of interest.
Due to the timing of the selection process, students wishing to apply for this program should complete their application to Muhlenberg by January 1.
