I am interested in the contingencies of self-esteem, and strategies used to maintain high self-esteem.
Stereotype Threat
Dr. Laura Edelman has demonstrated that stereotype threat
results in underperformance among women who are completing spatial
tasks. We are exploring the extent to
which gender role serves as a better predictor of the effect than
biological sex.
