The department is very pleased to announce the opening of the new Qualitative Research Lab (in the Moyer 018 suite). The lab consists of an interview room which is comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated (thanks Dr. Sinno!). The room can accommodate 2-4 people. There is also a data analysis room that, when fully equipped, will have a blackboard, bulletin board, 2 work tables, and lots of storage. Dr. Wolfe and Dr. Sinno worked on the design of the space, and we are grateful to the college for the funds, to the Physical Plant for all their hard work cleaning and re-painting the rooms, and Betty Lees' office for help with the furnishings. A very special thanks to Mrs. Larimer, without whom our new lab would still be a pile of boxes and dust bunnies.
- June, 2009: Dr. Sinno and Samantha Silverberg ('10) presented their research, "Age Related Changes in Reasoning about Distributive Justice," at the Jean Piaget Society Conference in Utah.
- May, 2009: Dr. Elissa Wurf, after many years as an instructor in the department, has moved on to try her hand in a new field - accounting. Her interests in behavioral economics will, no doubt, serve her well in this field. The department thanks Dr. Wurf for her service, and we wish her all the best.
