Muhlenberg Community Dance Center Performance Company
The MCDC performance company offers dedicated, serious dancers expanded and more rigorous performance opportunities that culminate in the annual Spring Concert. Dancers learn and perform in pieces choreographed by faculty and guest artists in a range of dance styles.
The MCDC Company meets on Thursday’s from 4:30 to 6:30. During this meeting time dancers will warm-up, learn, rehearse and perfect choreography.
MCDC Company is open to dancers ages 10 and older. Students must be registered for at least one dance technique class since company time is not a substitution for dance class, but rather an opportunity to develop deepened and enhanced performance skills.
Dancers will be asked to sign a company contract which outlines responsibilities and rules. The performance company fee covers costume and production expenses.

Classwork Showing
This is the same format as done in previous years. Teachers will work on performances pieces based on class material that will be presented in our Fall Performance Day and Spring Concert. Costume pieces will be informal, coming from MCDC costume stock, inexpensive store bought or from the dancer’s personal wardrobe. A minimal performance fee for class work showings has been worked into tuition prices. Preparation for class work showings will be done during class time only. There will be no extra rehearsals except for dress rehearsal and the show times. |
