WHERE CAN I USE MY MEAL PLAN ON CAMPUS?
Meal plans (except the Streamliner & Muhlenberg Express) may be used in any dining venue on campus. Dining Dollars are accepted in all locations and Meal Equivalency may be used in the GQ.
- HOW ARE DINING DOLLARS DIFFERENT FROM FLEX DOLLARS?
Dining Dollars are included in many meal plans and can only be used in campus dining venues. Flex Dollars are not included in any meal plan, however they can be used in the bookstore as well as any dining venue on campus.
- WHAT HAPPENS IF I RUN OUT OF MEALS OR DINING DOLLARS?
If you run out of meals or Dining Dollars during the course of the semester, you may add money to a flex dollar account. One may use flex dollars in any dining venue and in the Berg Bookshop. Remember, flex dollars roll from semester to semester, year to year. A Flex Dollars account may be opened at the Cashier’s Window in the basement of the Haas College Center during normal business hours. Minimum deposit is $25.00.
- CAN I EAT WITHOUT HAVING MY MEAL CARD OR CAN I USE MY
SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER IF I FORGOT MY MEAL CARD?
For the safety and security of all students we will not allow anyone to use his/her social security number if he/she forgets his/her ID card. If you lose or misplaced your meal card you must be issued a new one at a replacement fee of $25. For privacy and security reasons, you cannot use your social security number to make purchases at dining venues.
- DO DINING DOLLARS ROLL OVER FROM SEMESTER TO SEMESTER?
Any unused money in a Dining Dollars account as well as any meals left on an account at the end of a semester is forfeited. They do not roll over.
- Which meal plans are available to first year students?
First year students must select one of the following meal plans: The Freedom Plan, The Advantage 250 or the Streamliner.
- Which meal plans are the most popular?
Our most popular meal plan is the Advantage 250. The Freedom Plan allows students the most flexibility and is very popular with first year students.
- Should I open a Flex Account?
We suggest holding off on opening a Flex Account right away, particularly if the meal plan you select has Dining Dollars. However, a Flex Account balance does roll from semester to semester and year to year and can be used in the Berg Bookshop as well as all dining venues.
- How can I add more money on to a Dining Dollars Account?
You can’t. Dining Dollars are associated with meal plans and therefore are restricted. You can open a flex if you are running low or are out of Dining Dollars.
