Words From Parents

“In order to get a sense of what Muhlenberg College was about, I remember when my sons asked the admissions officer what the most popular organization was on campus and the answer – “Hillel.”  When my older son was making a final decision about college, the Hillel organization, the house, the programs, and meeting with Patti Mittleman was the deciding factor.  Now that I have two sons at Muhlenberg, it is a great feeling as a parent to know that one day a week they can get a great dinner and at the same time continue their connection to the Jewish traditions and heritage.  The programs, the ability to enjoy Simhat Torah at the Orthodox shul, the holiday dinners when they can’t make it home – all of the programs mean so much to me as a parent.  More importantly, my sons  enjoy them as well - the barbecues, and all Hillel programs and activities. Hillel at Muhlenberg College has lived up to its billing – I know now why admissions said Hillel was the most popular campus organization!!”

"Having raised our daughter Erica in a Jewish home, we think Muhlenberg's Hillel has everything you'd want as parents to help your child continue living a Jewish life.  Erica has found Hillel to be her home away from home.  The organization is warm and inclusive and offers a number of opportunities to engage students--from social action to Shabbat dinners to just hanging out with friends.  We believe Erica has grown in her Jewish thinking and values through her continued association with Hillel.  We couldn't be more pleased."

“My husband and I could not be happier that Barrie has chosen to become an active member of the Muhlenberg Hillel.  Through Hillel, Barrie is able to keep her Jewish traditions alive just as she does when at home.  The welcoming atmosphere of 'Berg Hillel makes it so simple to Jewish students to find one another to enjoy social and spiritual experiences.”
