From the Trexler Library Home Page (http://www.muhlenberg.edu/library) you can search the Trexler Library Catalog (http://library.muhlenberg.edu) to find out what books, government publications, journals, videos, cds, etc. the library owns.

Hint: When searching for books, try a keyword search rather than subject search to start, then, link to the subject headings you turn up for books you like.

In the reference section take a look at The Encyclopedia of Leadership (ref. 303.3403 E56o) for ideas.

    Interlibrary loan of books

WorldCat is a powerful search tool for books on any subject. You can request that any book from WorldCat be sent here on Interlibrary Loan for your perusual. Just click on the icon "ILL."

Academic Search Premier
Coverage dates as early as 1984 for some journals. Indexes and provides the full-text for more than 4,000 scholarly publications.  Able to limit to peer review.

Business & Company ASAP
Full-text for over 960 journals covering management, business, economics, finance and more. This database leans more heavily toward trade publications than does Academic Search, but even so, it outweighs Academic Search in numbers of scholarly titles dealing with international topics.  Able to limit to peer review (refereed).

Business Source Elite
This database covers the period from 1982 to present. It indexes a mixture of scholarly and popular articles in all areas of business and economics, including management. Selected full text.  Able to limit to peer review.

Lexis-Nexis Academic
Full-text of major newspapers, newswires, select trade journals and magazines. Updated daily. Coverage from as early as 1980 to the present. Features articles on companies and industries from popular business journals as well as trade publications.

Morning Call
Full-text of the Allentown, Pennsylvania newspaper from 1984 to the present.

Wall Street Journal
Full text (no tables, charts, graphs) of the Wall Street Journal, 1982 to the present.

PsycInfo
Indexing and abstracting service which covers scholarly, professional,and research articles in psychology and related fields, 1887 to present, and books, 1987 to present. Useful for locating materials on social or organizational behavior.  Able to limit to peer review.

Non-selective. One of the largest web crawlers.

Librarian's Index to the Internet (http://lii.org/)
Highly selective. One of the most restricted search engines/directories. Both scholarly and popular, but all are deemed important based on assessment by a team of California public librarians. All entries are accompanied by paragraph-length descriptions.
