A note on copyright
Generally, small portions of copyrighted texts, etc. can by copied for use in the classroom, as this use falls under the auspices of fair use. If you publish your projects to the web, permission should be sought for borrowed material that is copyrighted, unless your project is a critique or parody of the borrowed work.
