Historical Statistics of the United States
Statistics from colonial times to modern day covering population, work and welfare, economic structure and performance, economic sectors, and governance and international relations.

ICPSR (Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research)
ICPSR maintains a data archive of more than 500,000 files of research in the social sciences. It hosts 16 specialized collections of data in education, aging, criminal justice, substance abuse, terrorism, and other fields. Full access available only to Muhlenberg faculty, students, and staff who create accounts using their Muhlenberg email addresses.

LVRC (Lehigh Valley Research Consortium)
LVRC collects quantitative and qualitative data on the Lehigh Valley on: demographics, public opinion , economic indicators, non-profit sector, governmental sector, and more.

Pennsylvania State Data Center
The PaSDC is the Commonwealth's official source of demographic and economic data.

ProQuest Statistical Insight
Statistical information produced by U.S. federal agencies, states, and intergovernmental organizations.

Statistical Abstract of the United States
The Statistical Abstract of the United States, published since 1878, is the authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States.  Archived editions (1995- ) are available online, as well.   Old print editions (1886- ) are in the Trexler Library Government Documents section starting at C 3.134:886.  The most current print edition is in the Trexler Library Statistics Reference section at 317.3 U58s.

International

CIA World Factbook
Provides information on the history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 266 world entities.

World Bank: Data
Social and economic indicators for countries around the world. World Development Indicators, a publication from the World Bank, is also available in print in the library at 330.91 W927d (located in Statistics Reference for the most recent year and the Main Collection for previous years).

Criminal Justice

Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics
Brings together data from more than 100 sources about many aspects of criminal justice in the United States. Print copies of editions from 1981 to the present are available in Trexler Library's Government Documents section starting at J 29.9/6.

Population and Demographics

American Factfinder
An interactive, searchable database from the US Census Bureau with population, housing, and business statistics at the country, state, county, city, and zip code levels for 2000-present.

Census of Population and Housing (U.S. Census Bureau)
Decennial censuses from 1790 to the present are available online. Print copies of the decennial census from 1880 on are available in Trexler Library's Government Documents starting at C3:223.

International Data Base (U.S. Census Bureau)
Basic demographic information by country and region.
