Features

Transfer

You are on an active call and wish to send the call to another extension.

  • Depress switchhook
  • Listen for 3 fast beeps, then dial tone
  • Dial desired party
  • Announce transfer, then hang up

    • To cancel an incomplete transfer, depress the switchhook twice to return to the call.

NOTE: If you receive a busy signal or no answer, flash the switchhook and you will be re-connected with the original party.


Conference

You are on a call and wish to add another party to the conversation.

  • Depress switchhook
  • Listen for 3 fast beeps, then dial tone
  • Dial desired party, announce conference
  • Depress switchhook, begin conversation

    • To add another party, repeat the steps above, maximum of 6 parties.

NOTE: If you receive a busy signal or no answer, flash the switchhook and you will be re-connected with the original party/parties.


Consult

You are on a call and wish to consult another party while keeping the original call on hold.

  • Depress switchhook
  • Listen for 3 fast beeps, then dial tone
  • Dial desired party
  • Consult third party
  • Third party hangs up
  • Depress switchhook to resume original call

NOTE: If you receive a busy signal or no answer, flash the switchhook and you will be re-connected with the original party.


Call Hold

  • Depress switchhook
  • Listen for 3 fast beeps, then dial tone
  • Depress switchhook
  • Listen for 3 fast beeps, then dial tone,
  • Dial #4 to place call on hold
  • Set receiver down on the phone
  • You will receive a reminder ring every 60 seconds while a call is on hold
  • To return to held call, lift receiver


Call Waiting

  • Depress switchhook
  • After hearing call waiting signal (two tone bursts)
  • Depress switchhook - your current call is put on hold and you are connected to the waiting call.
  • To return to original call, depress switchhook
  • To temporarily deactivate Call Waiting, dial #7
  • Dial *7 to reactivate Call Waiting.

Automatic Callback

  • When a busy extension is encountered, depress switchhook.
  • Dial *2
  • Listen for confirmation dial tone
  • Hang up
  • When busy station becomes free
  • Your telephone will give a series of short fast rings
  • Lift handset, hear ringing
  • Wait for answer.

NOTE: If the person you are calling has voice mail, your call will go directly to the mailbox after a few rings.


Cancel Automatic Callback

  • Lift receiver
  • Listen for dial tone
  • Dial #2
  • Listen for dial tone
  • Hang up

Distinctive Ringing


  • One ring - inside caller
  • Two rings - external caller
  • Short, fast rings - automatic callback

  • Follow instructions on your calling card

NOTE: Some restrictions may apply.


International Calls
  • 8 + 011 + country code + city code + telephone number
  • Wait for dial tone
  • Enter authorization code (PIN number)

NOTE: Country codes must be 3 digits (i.e. - 24 would be entered as 024)
