Jamie Doran, CPA, holds a BS in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MS in accounting from Duquesne University. Prior to coming to Muhlenberg, she worked for Price Waterhouse & Co (now PriceWaterhouse Coopers), was a partner in a private accounting practice, and managed an insurance brokerage firm. She has taught at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Catawba College and the University of Tennessee. Her primary teaching areas are Financial Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, and Advanced Accounting. She has published ancillary multi-media materials for three accounting textbooks and is currently researching the pedagogical effects of graphic design, color and mnemonics in teaching consolidations. Jamie was the recipient of the 1998 Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Outstanding Accounting Educator Award, is a past Treasurer of the Mid-Atlantic region of the American Accounting Association and is a member of both the Pennsylvania and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. She has been a presenter/discussion leader at numerous accounting conferences and continuing professional education courses.
