• Clearly there is an uneven distribution of neighborhood with large percentage of white ( 79 - 100%) bordering parks.
  • In Manhattan, there is somewhat of an even distribution in the first four racial groups, but the largest percentage of neighborhoods bordering parks have a 89- 100% white composition.
  • Staten Island has a clear uneven distribution of bordering neighborhoods.  There are no neighborhood on the island with less than 44% white composition, and only 4% of the bordering neighborhoods have less than 70% white composition.
  • Generally, it is clear that the parks in New York City are not evenly accessible to all races.  The neighborhoods bordering the parks predominately are of white composition.
