Tour of the Greenhouse:

The Muhlenberg College greenhouse is home to many different species of plants and to a number of student and faculty research projects.  Click here to learn more about research in the greenhouse.

This is the view from the greenhouse which is located on the 3rd floor of  Shankweiler, Muhlenberg's Biology Building.

Cacti Country:

There is an incredible diversity of cacti and succulents housed in the greenhouse.

Stapelia grandiflora flowering.  These fly pollinated flowers smell like rotting meat.

There is also a collection of Mayan masks.

 Exotic Flowers:

Bird of paradise, Strelitzia reginae

One of the many bromeliads in our collection

Euphorbs abound
