Margaret I Bilheimer, Ed D, has been a bilingual educator in the Lehigh Valley for over 40 years, teaching Spanish, English as a Second Language, and Reading in the Bethlehem & Northampton school districts, as well as at the Hispanic American Organization of Allentown and several colleges in the Lehigh Valley.   She has also served as an administrator at DeSales University, directing a program for low income students, which was recognized at both the state and national level as exemplary.   Presently she teaches Spanish to nurses at Lehigh Valley Hospital Network and supervises foreign language student teachers at Moravian and DeSales colleges.   Her dissertational studies and primary research interest continue to be in the teaching of reading comprehension.
