Paul Windt
Violin
Background
Paul Windt is a native
of Pittsburgh, where he was a student of Mihail Stolarevsky. He received
a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Curtis Institute of Music where
he studied with Jascha Brodsky and Efrem Zimbalist. He has been a faculty
member at Cedar Crest College, Lehigh University, the New School of
Music, and Temple University Music Prep. His students have been finalists
and winners of several important local, state, and national competitions.
Mr. Windt has performed extensively as a member of the Philadelphia
Piano Trio, as a soloist with numerous orchestras including the Sixteen
Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, the American Festival Orchestra in
Italy, and the Pittsburgh Symphony. He has appeared frequently as a
recitalist in the United States, Canada, and Italy. Paul Windt recently
released a CD entitled "Violin Alone" which features virtuoso
masterpieces by Bach, Milstein, and Ysaÿe.
