Department of Sociology and Anthropology Institutional Review Policies & Procedures

The mission of the Sociology/Anthropology Institutional Review Board (IRB), in cooperation with the College Wide IRB, is to protect the rights, welfare, and interests of human subjects recruited to participate in student or faculty research at Muhlenberg College.

The Sociology/Anthropology IRB is co-coordinated by Dr. Anne Esacove and Dr. Ben Carter. Please feel free to contact them, or Tracy Kline, in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology should you have any questions.

The following resources and forms are designed to guide you through the IRB approval process. Please submit 2 copies of all application materials to the department office located in the Sociology/Anthropology House.
