The Muhlenberg College Department opens its 2010-11 mainstage season with Naomi Iizuka's Polaroid Stories, a visceral blend of classical mythology and real-life stories told by street kids. A cataclysm wipes out nearly all of civilization. Scattered bands of human beings survive, roaming and setting up makeshift colonies. But what is the future of humanity — if there is one? Dance professor Charles O. Anderson's dystopian dance piece, written in collaboration with theatre professor Troy Dwyer, premiered Oct. 2, 2010. Developed in conjunction with the Muhlenberg Theatre & Dance Department, the performance featured Anderson's Philadelphia-based dance theatre X, including several Muhlenberg alumni.
