Notes From the Director

I’d like to take a moment to invite you to find out more about Muhlenberg Community Dance Center’s program by regularly visiting our website. We have a wonderful website that provides not only up-to-date information on our classes and teachers, but also our Student/Parent Handbook; the annual calendar, so you can plan ahead; information on our Spring Performance; and descriptions of the adult classes we offer each semester.
And coming soon, we will be adding a new tab that will include current articles from various scholarly resources on dance technique, performance, nutrition, and education! As students of dance, it is important not only to hone our skills in the studio, but also to know what is currently taking place in the amazing world of dance! Take a look: www.muhlenberg.edu/mcdc

Scheduling Reminder

Remember, MCDC will be on Fall Break Oct. 13-16. Enjoy the beautiful fall weather!

Bring a Friend Week
|
|
During the week of Oct. 22-27, all students are invited to bring a friend along to class. We will be sending home a quick "Getting to know you" sheet for guests' parents to fill out, with the guests' names and contact info, along with a waiver that MUST be signed in order for guests to participate. Please make sure you bring this sheet with you on the day of class.
If guests would like to enroll for the last six weeks of fall classes, they will be able to do so at a prorated tuition.

Parent Observation Week

We have changed the dates of Parent Observation Week for the fall semester. We now would like to invite you to watch your child's classes the week of Nov. 5-10. Please mark your calendars!

On the Town
Oct. 26 – Nov. 4
Three sailors on a one-day pass look for excitement and romance in this shiny, scintillating love letter to the Big Apple. On the Town features choreography by Karen Dearborn, inspired by the original production's ground-breaking Jerome Robbins choreography.
Moving Stories
Nov. 15-17
The student-choreographed fall Mainstage concert will features choreography by MCDC teacher Kelsey Hutchison, among others, and performances by all of the MCDC student-teachers.
