Every year, Muhlenberg College's dance students have the incredible opportunity to perform in the Master Choreographers concert. This concert exhibits new dance works choreographed by nationally and internationally acclaimed guest artists and faculty. The concert will be held Feb. 7-9 in the Empie Theatre . Many of our MCDC student teachers auditioned this past fall and were chosen to dance in one or more works for the concert. We hope all your teachers have a great concert!

We would like to invite all MCDC students and parents to attend the 2 p.m. matinee performance on Saturday, Feb. 9. Immediately following the performance, the MCDC faculty will host a talk-back where our students can talk to their teachers about the experience and ask any questions that may have arisen during the performance. Ticket prices are $8 for our youth audience members and $15 for adults.

The MCDC Performance Company will be taking a trip to New York City next month! They will be using JJ Limousine bus services for transportation, and the dancers will participate in a 90-minute dance class in the City. Students and parents will have the rest of the day to explore New York and even enjoy a show if they wish! JJ Limousine will take everyone back at the end of the day.

The class will be taught by the dance captain for the show "Chicago," based on choreography from the musical!

The cost of the trip is $60 for dancers (including the bus and the class) and $30 for parents. The bus leaves Muhlenberg at 7 a.m., and the class is from 9 to 10:30. The bus will leave New York at 6 p.m. to return home.

This trip is scheduled for Feb. 17 and is open to all Accelerated Intermediate-level students/parents and above. If you are interested in coming or want to find out the cost of this wonderful trip, please let Tara know by Feb. 1 (mcdc@muhlenberg.edu).
