Two Football Players Honored by Centennial Conference
Sunday, November 11, 2012|
Sophomore Ian Gimbar was named co-defensive player of the week, and senior Terrence Dandridge was named offensive player of the week.
Gimbar (left) led a defense that allowed only 13 rushing yards and no offensive points by recording seven tackles, including four sacks. The four sacks
gave him 13 for the season, breaking the school record of 11 set two years ago.
The weekly honor is the second this season for Gimbar, although it’s the first for defense. The linebacker was cited as special teams player of the week after
catching a game-winning 15-yard touchdown pass on a fake field goal against Gettysburg.
Dandridge (right) received the second CC weekly honor of his career after rushing for 185 yards and three touchdowns to earn the Bianco Award as the Mule
MVP of the game. The yardage put Dandridge over 1,000 for the season, and the three touchdowns moved him into a tie for second place on the program’s all-time
list with 35 for his career.
Both players figure to earn more honors on Tuesday when the All-CC teams are released. Gimbar leads the CC in sacks and tackles for loss, while Dandridge is third in rushing yards and scoring and fourth in all-purpose yards.
