Kayleigh Thies Junior Kayleigh Thies and freshman Claudia Theriault represented Muhlenberg on the All-Centennial Conference field hockey team. Thies was one of three unanimous first-team selections, while Theriault was voted to the second team.

Claudia Theriault Thies (left), who made the second team last year, is the first Mule to receive first-team honors since 2009. She led Muhlenberg with 30 points on 11 goals and eight assists and ranked third in the CC with 22 points in league games. Thies led the Mules’ charge to their first playoff berth since 2007 by recording at least one point in eight straight games late in the season – the longest streak by a Mule in15 years.

Thies was the first Muhlenberg player in nine years to score 30 points in a season and will enter her senior season sixth on the program’s all-time scoring list with 73 career points. She already holds the school record for career assists.

Theriault (right) is the first Mule freshman to earn All-CC field hockey honors since 1997 and the first ever named to the second team or high. She started all 18 games at back, anchoring a defense that ranked second in the CC with only 13 goals allowed in 10 league games. Theriault recorded a defensive save in Muhlenberg’s playoff loss to Haverford.
