Samantha Mayden Charlie Kline November 12: Mayden qualifies for nationals; best finish for women
Junior Samantha Mayden (left) qualified for the NCAA Championships by finishing 11th at the NCAA Mideast Regional. She led the Mule women to a seventh-place finish, their best ever. Sophomore Charlie Kline (right) was the top runner for the men's team, which came in 18th.

Kieran Newcomb October 29: Snow problem for Mayden, women's team at CC Championships
In a steady snow, the Muhlenberg women's team finished fourth at the Centennial Conference Championships. Junior Samantha Mayden earned All-CC honors with a sixth-place finish. The men's team came in sixth, led by freshman Kieran Newcomb (right), who came in 34th overall.

The Muhlenberg women finished sixth and the men eighth at the Leopard Invitational, the last meet before the Centennial Conference Championships. Senior Melissa Ugelow (left) was the fourth runner for the women, who beat four Division I squads, while freshman Kenny Wohl (right) paced the men.

Michael Esposito October 8: Small group runs at DeSales
Most of the Muhlenberg runners got the weekend off, but five members of the men's team ran at the DeSales Invitational, with junior Michael Esposito (right) crossing the finish line first.

October 4: Women's team climbs in rankings
Muhlenberg moved up to No. 5 in the Mideast Region rankings.

Erica Bash September 30: Mules sharp in new unis at Paul Short
Wearing new red uniforms, the Muhlenberg women's team finished ahead of a team ranked higher in the region at the Paul Short Run. Junior Erica Bash (left) improved her time from the Mules' last meet at the course by 22 seconds. The men finished ahead of DeSales, who had previously beat them, at the large meet.

William Lowrey Nicki Cronin September 24: Muhlenberg teams run well at Dickinson
The Muhlenberg men's team finished fourth, ahead of three regionally ranked teams, at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational. Senior William Lowrey (left) placed 14th in the short (4K) race. The women did not enter enough runners for a team score, but sophomore Nicki Cronin (right) came in third in the 4K.
