Senior co-captain Joe Carlucci (right) was one of seven Muhlenberg fall athletes named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team.

December 10: Long named to all-region first team
Record-setting junior tight end Michael Long was named to the D3football.com All-South Region first team.

Chris Litzenberger Michael Young December 5: Eight named to Academic Honor Roll
Eight football players, including seniors Chris Litzenberger (left) and Michael Young (right), were among the 37 Muhlenberg fall athletes named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Kyle Ruiz November 23: Mules fall in ECAC bowl game
Muhlenberg came within a two-point conversion of tying in the final 30 seconds, but Salisbury held on to win, 21-19, in the ECAC South Atlantic Bowl. Sophomore Kyle Ruiz (right) recorded three tackles for loss and recovered a fumble to set up the Mules' last touchdown.

Ian Gimbar November 19: Eleven Mules named All-CC; Palladino top rookie
Eleven Muhlenberg players were voted to the All-Centennial Conference team, including junior Ian Gimbar (left), a first-team selection at linebacker for the second year in a row. Freshman quarterback Nick Palladino was named rookie of the year.

November 18: Muhlenberg receives postseason bid
Muhlenberg was selected to participate in the ECAC playoffs for the second year in a row, earning a home date with Salisbury in the South Atlantic Bowl.

Michael Hovan November 16: Mules double up Moravian in regular-season finale
Muhlenberg defeated Moravian, 24-12, in its final game of the regular season. Senior Kevin Van Laar won the Bianco Award as the Mules' MVP, and sophomore Michael Hovan (right) set up a touchdown by recovering an onside kick.

November 10: Freshmen honored
Freshmen Nick Palladino and John Feaster were honored by the Centennial Conference after leading the Mules to a 41-10 win at Ursinus.

Freshman Nick Palladino (left) broke one school record and tied another, throwing for 336 yards and accounting for five touchdowns in the Mules' 41-10 win at Ursinus. Sophomore Matt Pagano (right) set up the first touchdown by intercepting a pass on the first play from scrimmage.

Bryan Auvil November 7: Auvil named to academic team
Sophomore Bryan Auvil (right) was named to the Academic All-District team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The Mules set a school record by running 97 plays in a 27-7 win at Juniata. Junior Thomas DiCarlo (right) rushed for a career-high 90 yards on 28 carries.

For the second straight game, junior Cody Geyer was honored by the Centennial Conference after a game-changing punt return.

Greg DeLade October 19: Mules roll past Gettysburg
Muhlenberg started the second half of the season with an impressive 35-10 win at Gettysburg. Junior Greg DeLade (left) had two sacks for a defense that held the Bullets, who came in averaging more than 500 yards per game, to 295 yards and 11 first downs.

Ahead by one point late in the first half, nationally ranked Johns Hopkins scored 31 unanswered points to defeat Muhlenberg, 45-13. Junior Gene Blanco (left) made a career-high 17 tackles, including 2 1/2 for loss.

Former football stars Sam Stovall '77 and Michael McCabe '01 are in the Muhlenberg College Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2013.

September 14: Fourth-quarter rally falls short
The Mules twice cut a 14-point deficit to seven in the fourth quarter but wound up losing at Franklin & Marshall, 28-21, in their first Centennial Conference game of the season.
