Tim Leischner October 31: Muhlenberg earns playoff berth, bye
The Mules secured a Centennial Conference playoff berth and first-round bye with a 3-1 win at Ursinus, combined with Swarthmore's loss at Haverford. Senior Tim Leischner (roght) assisted on the first goal with a cross from the corner.

October 26: Mules fall at Dickinson
Muhlenberg lost at Dickinson, 1-0, but remained in control of its playoff destiny.

Nate Squire October 22: Muhlenberg remains in tie for second
A goal on a free kick by junior Nate Squire (right) in the 20th minute held up as the winner as Muhlenberg came back to beat Gettysburg, 2-1, and remain tied for second place in the Centennial Conference with a week left in the regular season.

October 19: Wednesday woes for Mules again
For the second straight Wednesday, Muhlenberg fell behind 2-0 early and lost a non-conference game in New Jersey. Junior Nate Squire scored on a penalty kick in the second half, but 23rd-ranked Montclair State held on to win, 2-1.

A pair of players who grew up close to Franklin & Marshall helped the Mules post a key win against the Diplomats.

Josh Luginbuhl October 15: Muhlenberg moves into second-place tie
Muhlenberg scored two early goals - the first by senior Josh Luginbuhl (left) - and held on to defeat Franklin & Marshall, 2-1, and move into a tie for second place in the Centennial Conference.

October 12: Mules shut out at Drew
Drew scored two goals in the first 12 minutes and went on to defeat the Mules, 3-0.

The Mules have ridden stellar play by their defense into the top 25 of both national polls.

October 10: Chojnowski named player of the week
Sophomore Jas Chojnowski became the second Muhlenberg goalie in the last four weeks to be honored by the Centennial Conference.

Danny Way October 9: Muhlenberg records another shutout
The Mules notched their seventh shutout in 10 games, defeating Washington 1-0 in the first career start in goal for sophomore Jas Chojnowski. Junior Danny Way (right) scored the lone goal.

Jas Chojnowski October 5: Lots of shots, but no goals
Muhlenberg and New Jersey combined to take 45 shots, but none of them found the back of the net, and the game ended in a scoreless tie. Sophomore Jas Chojnowski (left), making his debut for the Mules, recorded seven saves in goal.

October 4: Mules remain in top 25
Muhlenberg stayed in the top 25 in one national Division III poll and received votes in the other.

Steve Giannacio October 1: Muhlenberg shuts out Fords
The Mules scored one goal early and one goal late to beat Haverford, 2-0. Senior Steve Giannacio (right) assisted on the first goal just 93 seconds into the game.

September 28: Deja vu for Mules at Swarthmore
Muhlenberg returned to Swarthmore for the first time since last year's Centennial Conference championship game and suffered the same fate: a 2-1 double-overtime loss.

September 23: Muhlenberg suffers first loss
Forced to play a man down for two-thirds of the game, the Mules suffered their first loss of the season, 1-0 at Johns Hopkins.

Ari Nutovits September 19: Nutovits earns weekly honors
Junior Ari Nutovits (left) was named the Centennial Conference men's defensive player of the week after posting his third and fourth straight shutouts.

Jacob Joseph September 17: Mules shut out McDaniel in conference opener
Muhlenberg posted its fourth straight shutout with a 2-0 win over McDaniel. Sophomore Jacob Joseph (right) scored his first career goal in the 90th minute.

Jonathan Schauer September 14: Muhlenberg uses third straight shutout to top Colonels
The Mules moved to 4-0 for the first time since 2005 with a 1-0 win at Wilkes. Junior Jonathan Schauer (left) scored the second goal of his career in the 39th minute to provide all the offense the Mules would need.
