Athletics: Men's Track & Field
Men's track and field at Muhlenberg dates all the way back to 1910, while the women's program is a bit younger, beginning in 1988.
The men's program had its glory days in the early 1940s, winning the first Eastern College Athletic Conference championship in 1942 and capturing the Middle Atlantic Conference title in 1943 and 1944. The Mule mile-relay team finished first at the Penn Relays in both 1942 and 1943.
In 2003, the men's team crowned the first All-Americans in program history and finished 10th at the NCAA Indoor Championships. The men finished second at the Centennial Conference Championships both indoors and outdoors in 2003.
The women showed steady improvement beginning in 2000, culminating with their first conference championship in the 2005 outdoor season. They crowned their first All-American in 2006.
In the 18 years of the CC, the Muhlenberg men have had 36 gold-medal performances outdoors and 22 indoors. The women have produced 28 outdoor champions and 31 indoor winners.
