Senior Zack Meyers closed out his career with his first top-20 finish at the CC Championship. He tied for 19th with sophomore Chris DiMaio, who had Muhlenberg’s most consistent tournament, carding consecutive scores of 81, 82 and 82.
Playing in his first career conference championship, senior Jon Heppen came in 27th place. He and Meyers tied for the low round by a Mule in the tournament with 79s in the first and second rounds, respectively.
Competing in the team race for the first time in three seasons, the Muhlenberg women’s golf team finished fifth at the Centennial Conference Championship. The Mules shaved 11 shots of their score from the first to second round, the second-best improvement in the field. Host Gettysburg won both the team and individual titles.
Freshman Christina Bryde capped her stellar rookie campaign with a team-high 14th-place finish. She was one of just 15 golfers to break 100 in both rounds at Hanover Country Club in Abbottstown, Pa.
Senior Amanda Heiberger finished tied for 22nd, the highest of her career, and sophomore Colleen Caldwell made a 10-shot improvement between rounds one and two.
