Stephanie Umbach Muhlenberg sophomore Stephanie Umbach was named to the All-Metro Region second team by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association.

The midfielder also earned second-team honors last season. She is only the fourth player in team history selected to the all-region team in “Bach-to-Bach” years, and the first to do it in her freshman and sophomore seasons.

This is the fifth year in a row the Mules have had a player earn IWLCA all-region recognition.

A second-team All-Centennial Conference pick, Umbach scored a team-leading 72 points – the fourth-highest single-season total in team history. Umbach’s 59 goals and 77 draw controls ranked fourth in the CC, and she also finished second on the Mules in caused turnovers (15). She set a school record for draw controls in a season, with her per-game average ranking in the top 40 in Division III.

In only two seasons, Umbach already ranks third on Muhlenberg’s all-time list with 141 draw controls. Umbach’s career total of 110 points is the second-most in program history after two years.
